In veterinary medicine, cold plasma is used for wound healing, disinfection and treatment of skin infections. It can help accelerate the healing process of skin injuries, such as wounds, abscesses or burns, in which it promotes blood circulation and stimulates the formation of new tissue cells.
In addition, cold plasma has an antimicrobial effect, which means that it can kill bacteria, viruses and fungi. It is even effective against multi-resistant bacteria and prevents the formation of further resistance. This makes it possible to reduce or completely replace the use of antibiotics.

Another advantage of cold plasma is that it is non-invasive and has no side effects for the animals. Mostly it is well tolerated without sedation, only at the tip of the nose sedation can be more comfortable. Cold plasma is not painful and the short treatment time of a few minutes is pleasant for the velvet paws.
